Are you concerned about polarization on important topics, and wishing you had more tools to navigate tense conversations? You are invited to participate in an interactive workshop to learn practical skills and strategies for:

  • Living compassionately without giving up on conviction

  • Cultivating understanding and how it is different from persuading someone to your viewpoint

  • Harnessing the power of curiosity through conversation deepeners and conversation extenders

  • Exploring differences in ways that close the psychological gaps between "us" and "them"

  • Disagreeing respectfully without dehumanizing people

  • Changing your mind and offering others a graceful escape route as well
